“You’re a disgusting, pitiful, sorry motherfucker,” I cursed before unlatching the lock and speed walking towards the exit.

I was five feet from the door when Reanna called out, “Hey, you!”

My progression halted, and I turned around to where she leaned against the bar, the patron from earlier now gone. “What?” I said through clenched teeth.

“What happened back there?”

“Dick is just that… a dick!” I threw my arms up and then let them fall at my side.

The bouncer from earlier shuffled past us towards the room where Dick was probably still writhing around gripping his rather unimpressive junk. Dick’s shouts could be heard over the music, and I knew I didn’t have much time before he peeled himself up off the floor and came after me.

“What did you do?” Suspicion laced each word as she leaned further into the wood of the bar.

“Let’s just say little Dicky won’t be out to play for a while,” I huffed.

Her eyes danced in amusement, and it looked like she was fighting to hold back a laugh. I didn’t find anything about the situation funny.

Without another word, I turned towards the exit and took a few steps when she cried out, “Wait!”

Reanna rounded the bar and jogged towards me. Taking my hand in hers, she placed a piece of paper in my palm before curling my fingers around it.

“What’s this?” I looked down at the paper with confusion.

“If you’re serious about this lifestyle, go there. Tell them Reanna sent you. Xavier owes me one, but I have a feeling it won’t matter with the way you look.” Her eyes were kind, and I almost kissed her with how grateful I was that she was giving me another option.

“I have to go.” The thought that Dick might ever breathe the same air as me again, propelled me to the door. I pushed it open and sucked in the fresh air, feeling the late afternoon sunshine warm my body.

Reanna’s words followed me out the closing door. “Good luck!”

I had a feeling I was going to need it.
