I loved that he was no longer hiding his attraction to me. It blazed clear as day in his eyes and was enough to give me hope about some sort of future with this man. Something I generally didn’t focus much on with other men.

“It was for me too. I’ve wanted you for a long damn time,” I admitted. My hands rested on his shoulder before gliding down his hard biceps and forearms until I could link my fingers with his. Chase leaned into me seeking more intimacy. It was enough to have me swooning at his feet.

“Honestly? Me too,” he said softly, before placing a light kiss on my parted lips.

“So where do we go from here?” I hated how vulnerable I sounded, but if this was just a one-time fling he needed to get out of his system, I was going to be damn disappointed. There was no way I would ever be able to work alongside him in the courtroom if that happened.

“I don’t know.” His arms wrapped around my middle and pulled our bodies flush together. The material of his suit pants rubbed against my cock, which then twitched in anticipation of getting into those pants again. “It’s complicated.”

He was right about that. His father was the managing partner of the law firm that employed us. Clayton Burkett was a good-ole boy with old school southern beliefs. There was no way he’d approve of a relationship between Chase and me. Hell, none of the partners would. Add to that the fact that Chase had a real life Barbie on his arm, it seemed damn near impossible for us to ever move forward together.

“What does that mean?” I cocked my head to the side and subtly rubbed myself against him showing him just how badly he affected me. “I want you Chase. I can’t go back to dancing around each other and ignoring the sexual tension that’s been brewing between us since the day we met.”

“It means…” he trailed off on a sigh when my hand gripped his ass and pulled him against my heavy length. “It means that I’m not sure how to handle this.”

“Do you love Jessica?”

His eyes, which were heavy-lidded as we ground against each other, flew open at my question. “Of course I do. But it’s complicated.”

There was that word again. Complicated.

Knowing that what we were doing right then wasn’t helping the situation, I took a step back putting some much needed distance between us. The frown marring his face told me that he didn’t approve, but I was done letting him call the shots. At least for now.

“Why don’t you explain it to me?” I offered with a cross of my arms. I hated the term ‘it’s complicated’ almost as much as I hated the idea of him loving her.

He ran his hand through his soft blonde hair, ruffling it up, before speaking. “Jessica and I have an arranged marriage of sorts. Our parents have wanted us to get married since we were young kids. It will merge this law firm with her father’s. No one knows this.” He paused so I nodded, silently letting him know he could trust me with that bit of information. “We do love each other, but she can’t give me everything I need.”

“And I do?” Please God let him say yes.

He smirked instead of answering, but that was enough for me.

“I sat her down and we talked about it last night. She understands. She um… likes to experiment, so she gets it. We both know we need to marry for the sake of our families, but she has encouraged me to explore my attraction to you.”

Well that explained why he suddenly turned us working late on the Hartwell case into us working each other over.

The reality of him coming onto me during a case far surpassed any fantasy I had dreamt up since first meeting him.

I sank down onto the corner of his desk and stared dumfounded. This wasn’t at all what I had imagined him saying to me.

Him telling me it was a one-time deal—probably.

Him telling me that he wanted an affair on the side with me—sure.

Him saying he was leaving Jessica for me—unlikely.

Her willing to share him with me—definitely not.

“There’s so much I want to try… with you.” He knelt down in front of me and looked up with an earnest expression on his face. His hand reached up and cupped my cheek. I instinctively leaned into it, relishing the intimacy of the moment. “Do you want that too?”

My throat worked as I attempted to say something. I knew Chase meant what he said. The sincerity showed on his face and was laced in his every word. Taking a gamble on something I had wanted for so long, I nodded and leaned over to plant a soft, wet, open-mouthed kiss on his lips.

When I sat back up, he surprised me by spreading my legs wider and situating himself between them. His hands ran up my thighs. One cupped my balls while the other wrapped around my dick.

“I think we should start now,” he said in a husky voice. “I’ve never given a blow job before.”

“You haven’t?” I croaked out. My dick throbbed as he eyed it like it was his next meal.

“No. I’ve never had a man come down my throat. You’ll be my first.” He raised his eyes as he lowered his mouth and proceeded to rock my world. “And hopefully my last.”

When his hot, wet mouth took my length all the way into the back of his throat, I knew I wasn’t going to last long even though I had just come ten minutes earlier. His suction was spot on and he knew exactly where to flick his tongue to make me come undone.

Embarrassingly quick, I found my balls drawing up as a tingle crawled up my spine. The sight of Chase’s head bobbing up and down my length was too much. I ran my hand lovingly over his head, petting his face and encouraging him to take me there.

When his eyes locked with mine, I threw my head back and roared as I came down his throat.

That was when I knew I would go to the ends of the earth and back to have more of this man.

“What do you think, Trevor?”

My boss’s voice startled me back to the present, as memories of the phone sex Chase and I had the night before ran rampant in my head. There was nothing sexier than hearing him tell me how badly he wanted to feel my dick inside him. Every single fucking time I thought about it, I had to fight the urge to go jerk off.

It was the Monday after our Friday night interlude in Chase’s office, and I was just as smitten with him now as I was then. Over the weekend, we had talked on the phone both days, but didn’t have a chance to spend any time together due to his prior family commitments.

It was disappointing, but the sweet way he left me in the parking garage Friday night with a tender kiss and a lingering hug, coupled with the hot phone sex, more than made up for it.

Now, with Chase sitting across from me in the board room during our weekly Monday morning meeting, my cock was rock hard. I was going to be fucked if I didn’t quickly come up with an answer to Clayton Burkett’s question.

Clearing my throat, I tried to recall what we had been discussing before I zoned out. Oh yes! The Hartwell case!

“I think Mrs. Hartwell is better off settling.” I crossed my fingers that this was what we were still talking about, or else I would have some real explaining to do. I could feel my face burning with embarrassment and hoped no one would notice how flustered I was.

“What I asked…” Chase’s father began, and I knew my answer was off the mark.

Shit.

This couldn’t end well for me. I’d seen lawyers thrown out for far less when Clayton felt like being a prick.

Thankfully Chase saved the day, and, well, me, when he spoke up. “I agree with Trevor. If she settles it will resolve any future litigations with regards to the Hampton property.”

“Is that what you were thinking?” His father raised an eyebrow and looked at me skeptically. He was such a condescending bastard.

I nodded my assent and stretched my leg out under the table so that my foot could rest alongside Chase’s. When he nudged me back, I had to fight the smile that desperately wanted to light up my face. Instead I smiled inwardly and listened as best I could for the rest of the meeting.
