Jeff stood there and just stared at me like he was seeing me for the first time. His eyes traveled up and down my body.

I couldn’t believe that I was going to be his wife. And she was going to have his baby.

“Good morning! So, um, wow, they sure are taking things down and cleaning up pretty, fast aren’t they?” I said.

I walked over to the coffee pot and poured myself a cup. I glanced out the window and saw Josh standing against his truck, talking to one of Gunner’s cousins. Lynda…I think that’s her name.
