“I’m so proud of you girls,” Dad chokes on his words which brings a lump to my throat and I see the tears welling in Abby’s eyes. “I love you both and you have chosen great men to be your life partners.” With those words, he kisses us both on the cheek. It couldn’t get better than this.
As we arrive, the butterflies in my stomach go crazy. I never thought I’d have my entire family here celebrating with me, and especially not Abby. Having her here completes me, I no longer feel lost. I’m now found.
Abby and I stand at the end of the aisle waiting for Flick and Rach to make their way down the aisle. My legs vibrate with anticipation. I can’t wait to see Corban’s gorgeous face. Then the music starts and Dad links arms with Abby and me. We begin our walk down the red carpet. The church is decorated with fairy lights along the aisle and a tulle bow is tied decoratively at the end of each of the pews. There are rose petals scattered on the carpet from our flower girl Katie, who now stands beside Blake, who smiles down at her with love and affection.
I see the back of Corban and then he turns to look at me. It’s like we are moving in slow motion when his face lights up with one gigantic smile, and my heart swells with love and excitement. I’m unable to hold back the tears. I look over at Blake again and his face mirrors Corban’s.
These boys are equally amazing and we have been truly blessed to have found them. With everything we’ve been through, we now have the brightest future standing before us. I have my sister here to stay, and I have the man of my dreams in front of me and the most fantastic children to watch grow up.
Dad gives us both a kiss on the cheek and I take Corban’s hand while Abby takes Blake’s.
“You look beautiful,” Corban whispers to me. Warmth spreads through my entire body causing every fibre of my being to ignite with a passion for the man before me.
“Thanks. I love you.”
“I love you, Melodi, for eternity and beyond.”
I hope you enjoyed the story.

About the Author - Liz Lovelock
I’m a wife, mother, reader, blogger and now an author. I’m always busy doing something as I have so much going on and my two little ones keep me on my toes regularly.
I’m from bright sunny Queensland, Australia. I have always been a reader. When I was little, I would be up late reading Garfield and Asterix comic books and also Footrot Flats. When I hit high school, they gave us Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden and from there my love of books continued to grow. I can’t remember all the ones I read through school, but I always had a book beside my bed at night, and to this day there has and always will be a book along with a notebook beside my bed.
My debut novel The Lost One (Lost Series #1) just came to me one day and with the help and pushing of some wonderful friends I decided to sit down and write. Let’s just say that it changed from the original idea I came up with in September 2013 but I can’t wait to share this story with you all along with many more to come.
I keep a notebook and pen beside my bed when those late night ideas pop into my head, plus I’m a stationery addict and love pen’s, notebooks, well anything stationary.
I have a fair few ideas that will keep me busy for a while. Come follow me on Facebook and keep up to date with all new things happening with the Lost Series and other future projects to come.
