I was interrupted by Linc, “You've got nothing to be sorry for, babe. This is on me, so I don't want to hear you say that again," he said, wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me close.

"Linc, don't let this happen again. We can't afford any more of these types of slip ups. These people are like vultures looking for prey. If you put yourself into a situation like this again, they'll pick you apart until there's nothing left of your career," Court said, walking toward the door to leave. "I'm going to do some damage control, I just hope it's enough," he said, placing his hand on the knob and opening the door. "We leave for Billings in a couple of hours. I'll see you at the buses," he said, stepping into the hall and letting the door close behind him.

Two hours later, we were packed and on the bused headed for Billings, Montana, where the band would play tomorrow night. I didn’t know when Sweet Misery's bus pulled out, I was just glad they left before us. I couldn’t even stomach the thought of them making the same stops along the way as us. The chance of running into Teagan at a grocery store or gas station would not be good. I could see myself hurling tomatoes at her from the vegetable aisle.

Linc brought me out of my thoughts when he ran his hand up my bare leg, stopping at the apex of my thighs. I looked over my tablet to where his hand was now resting.

"Um, what are you doing?" I asked him as I narrowed my eyes playfully and smiled at him.

"I thought of a way to occupy our time. You know, so you aren't bored," he said with his panty dropping smile.

"Who said I was bored? I just happen to be very interested in this romance novel," I said, lifting my tablet and continuing to read, but still smiling.

"Who needs a romance novel when I'm right here? I'm way better than any book boyfriend you could ever read about," he winked. He did have a point. I had read hundreds of romance novels; even been turned on by some of them, but none of them turned me on the way Linc does.

"Hmm, I see your point," I said, closing the cover on my tablet and laying it on the table. "So, Mr. Book Boyfriend, is it okay if I call you that?" I asked, running my fingers through his thick brown hair.

"Baby, you can call me whatever you want," he said with a growl, then taking my mouth in a passionate kiss that left us both breathless and wanting.

"Tell me, what did you have in mind to cure my boredom?" I asked, letting my hands glide over his shoulders and across his chest.

"Why don't I just show you instead of telling you?" He asked. I smiled and nodded in agreement.

"You had me at ‘boyfriend,’" I told him and trailed my fingers down over his six pack abs to the hem of his shirt. Pushing my hands beneath the soft fabric, I let my hands roam his muscular chest, feel the warmth, of his skin beneath my palms. He licked the spot under my ear, which caused a tingle to run down my spine and stop at my pulsing core.

"I am so in love with you, Honesty," he said, looking at me with so much love in his eyes. My heart swelled, almost to the point of bursting in my chest when I realized that I not only loved Lincoln McKay, I was in love with him. There was a difference. The feeling of love is defined as an intense feeling of deep affection. I define being in love as knowing that you couldn't survive one second without the other person. A passionate, yet tender feeling that warms your heart when they’re near, that was what I feel for him. My eyes stung with the tears that were building as I struggled to keep them from breaking free.

"I love you so much," I whispered as the first tear slid down my cheek, onto his neck. Lifting my chin with his fingers, he kissed the tear away. "You have the power to break me," I told him as the tears flowed freely down my face.

"That's not going to happen. I love you with everything that is inside me, with everything that I am. I'd rather die than ever break your heart," he said, brushing his lips over mine. You are my strength, my sunshine, my reason for waking up in the morning. My reason for never wanting to go back to the life I was living. I want to give you everything. I want to love you like you deserve to be loved, unconditionally for all eternity. I want to make a life with you," he said, cupping my face in his hands.

I blinked several times, trying to see through my tears as I replayed his words over in my mind. He said he wanted to make a life with me. Does that mean he wants to live together, or was that a proposal? My heart thumped wildly in my chest as I stared into eyes full of love and promise.

"Did you just propose to me?" I asked with a nervous sob and giggle. I watched as a beaming smile spread across his face.

"I did, although it's not how I planned it. I promise to do it again and make it better next time," he said, wiping away my tears with the pads of his thumbs. I've thought about it ever since I got back from rehab. I had planned on taking you to the beach and--" I stopped him with my mouth. I didn't need words right now. I needed him to show me with his body.

"Show me," I mumbled into his mouth as we continued to kiss. I lifted my hips and pulled my cotton shorts and panties down to my ankles, kicking them under the table with my foot. His warm lips trailed kisses down my neck, leaving little love bites as he went. He pulled my t-shirt over my head and unhooked my bra, tossing them both onto the floor before removing his own clothes. Grabbing both of my ankles, he pulled me forward so my body was lying on the couch. Within seconds he was on top of me, our mouths fused together in a hungry kiss as he pressed the tip of his cock inside my slick core. I gasped in his mouth from the intense pleasure of being stretched by him. He held my hips steady as he pumped in and out of me. The sound of our slick flesh slapping against each other was so fucking hot and only helped to build me up faster.

"Faster. Harder. Linc, oh!" I said in between breaths. I didn't have to ask him twice. He thrust harder and pumped even faster than before, and I was teetering on the edge of release, dangerously close to tipping over the edge. "I'm close! Oh my God! I'm, I'm coming!" I cried out at the same time his hot cum filled me up. My head fell back onto the sofa as my chest heaved, trying to catch my breath.

"It's fucking better every time," he said, laying his head on my stomach as he also tried to catch his breath. "If it gets any better, you may just be the death of me, baby," he said, placing a wet kiss on my stomach. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Right back at you! I'm exhausted now," I said, smothering a yawn with the back of my hand. He startled me when he jumped up from the sofa and scooped me up into his arms. "What are you doing?" I said in a high pitched voice.

"I'm taking my princess to bed. You need your rest because I'm not finished with you," he said as he carried me to the back of the bus and laid me on the queen sized bed. He pulled the comforter up around my neck and placed a kiss on my forehead before walking toward the door.

"Where are you going? Aren't you coming to bed?" I asked, fighting another yawn, causing him to chuckle.

"Nah. You sleep, baby. I'm going to write a bit. You rest and I'll be back before you know it," he told me as he turned the light off and closed the door.

I think I was asleep before the door ever closed. I awoke sometime in the night and rolled to my side in search of Linc's warm body, but found cool sheets instead. The clock on the nightstand showed 3:30 A. M., and from the looks of the sheets, he hadn’t even been in bed.
