Книга о детдомовском пареньке, на долю которого выпало суровое испытание - долгая и трудная дорога, полная встреч с самыми разными представителями человеческого племени. Книга о дружбе и предательстве, честности и подлости, бескорыстии и жадности, великодушии и чёрствости людской; о том, что в любых ситуациях, при любых жизненных испытаниях надо оставаться человеком; о том, что хороших людей на свете очень много, они вокруг нас - просто нужно их замечать. Книга написана очень лёгким, но выразительным слогом, читается на одном дыхании; местами вызывает улыбку и даже смех, местами - слёзы от жалости к главному герою, местами - зубовный скрежет от злости на некоторых представителей рода человеческого и на несправедливость жизни. Книга основана, как говорил автор в своём интервью, на абсолютно реальной истории, услышанной из уст человека, пережившего все те события и ставшего прообразом главного героя. На основе книги, как мне думается, можно было бы снять замечательный фильм для молодёжи (и не только) в жанре дорожного приключения, но с одной оговоркой - для молодёжи 70-х - 80-х годов прошлого века; современным молодым людям, как мне кажется, это было бы неинтересно, а многое - и непонятно. К примеру, кто нынче вспомнит, что аббревиатура ФЗО означает "школа Фабрично-Заводского Обучения"... Надеюсь, мой труд по продлению жизни этой книги не пропадёт даром. Приятного чтения.
